The influence of Social Media on children.
Nowadays everybody has access to internet or at least
the majority; hence, social media has taken a big relevance on people’s life
until the point that some people can’t live without checking the cell phone or
computer but what is social media? With regards to Investopedia (2018, March 21)”Social
media is a computer-based technology that facilitates the sharing of ideas and
information and the building of virtual networks and communities. By
design, social media is internet based and offers users easy electronic
communication of personal information and other content, such as videos and
photos. Users engage with social media via computer, tablet or Smartphone via
web-based software or web application, often utilizing it for messaging”. To put
it another way, social media allows to people to be in touch to each other wherever
and whenever because the internet does not know limits.
Using social media is very common on children;
however, it brings some disadvantages for them given that they spend most of
their time in front of a computer even watching videos or playing a virtual
game for that reason they today in day are not interested on reading books as a
consequence they are not creative since
everything is done that is to say in a virtual play is already created with the
whole characteristics; by the contrary reading is more effective to develop imaginative
skills on children. On the other hand, according with Charles Brown and Tatiana Falcone (2017, March 10) comment “The
Internet has blossomed into an integral part of society, as an outgrowth of the
Internet and the World Wide Web, social networking sites (SNS) serve as
platforms to establish and maintain personal interactions”. Not to mention that
some parents are not mindful about what they children are doing on the internet;
however, children are exposed to neither content that is not appropriate for
them such as violence, sex, drugs and so forth.

On the whole, social media is not completely bad
because it is a useful tool to interact with different people around the world;
likewise, with social media it is possible to know other countries, customs and
cultures in a virtual way, also people can realize about thing and
technological advances that occur every single day; however, children do not
know how to use this tool properly so it correspond to the parents to manage
how their children use social media, in the same manner they have to establish
a certain time in which children can surf on the internet that is to say a
schedule which children must to follow foe checking social media and for
reading and studying. According to Monitoring the Future (n.d) claims “just two
hours on social media has been shown to contribute to anxiety and unhappiness
among teens and suggest, a 60-90 minute limit each day. The other hours should
be filled with face-to-face hours with friends, sports, work, activities,
studies and family”.

Hellon Guillen, is a very interesting topic nowadays because most people use the internet and communicate through social networks. while it is true is a very useful tool but there are many people who fall into the error of misusing it and more when dealing with children because for children it can be a distraction beacuse they disregard the studies but can also serve as a tool to be able to teach them educational things, nevertheless, but i think that evertything depends on the use that each person wants to give him

EliminarSocial media is a great tool in which children can develop their skills; nonetheless it correspond to the parents monitore what their children are doing. Think back on, children are not mindful about everything so they can surf in content that is not appropriate for them.

As it was mentioned before children are the ones who more problems get with internet and it happens because their parents don't pay close attention to what they do with electronic devices.
So that would be my advice for parents, to take care of children while manipulating technology.
Absolutly Rossy parents should be in charge of taking care their childres also it is important to set an schedule for them to control the time when they are using social media.
Eliminarhello alonsito is a very interesting topic since it usually happens in almost all families, because parents do not have time to be with their children so they recuren to these means, although they are very useful tools to spend a lot of time in this for children It can be a great danger, like some disease or the children can have friends but in reality they can be dangerous people.

Many people make use of this tool to communicate with other; But as you say that nowadays parents work and are busy and do not have time to check what their children are watching, and this is so bad because there a lot of site webs which are inadequate for them and that’s why children can get a terrible addiction that can be dificult to solve
